Passport and Visas

You will need a signed and valid passport for all international tr​avel and/or visas, if required. Passport processing times have increased due to high volume, so be sure to apply well in advance.

Health Safety

Find out about disease outbreaks from the Centers for Disease Control provides up-to-date health notices for destinations outside the U.S. The U.S. Department of State also provides information about health conditions, security, and embassy or consulate contact information for every country in the world.

Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP)

The Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) is a free service to allow U.S. citizens and nationals traveling abroad to enroll their trip with the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate. STEP enables you to receive important information from the Embassy about conditions in your destination country, helping you make informed decisions about your travel plans. The program helps the U.S. Embassy contact you in an emergency, whether natural disaster, civil unrest, or family emergency.

Medical Evacuation Insurance:

The Jacksonville University Dolphin Travel Program automatically takes medical evacuation insurance out for every traveler on one of its sponsored programs.

For international travel, check with your medical insurance carrier about coverage protection and be sure to investigate traveler's cancellation insurance.
